This policy applies to all users of our website at vektrontechnologies.com, our V-Tuning platform, and any other services we provide.

By using our services, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy. If you disagree with our practices, please discontinue use of our services and contact us to request data deletion.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

  • Service Delivery: Creating and managing your account, providing access to the V-Tuning platform, processing subscription payments, and fulfilling hardware and consulting orders.
  • Communication: Sending transactional emails (receipts, subscription confirmations, password resets), service announcements, and responding to support requests.
  • Platform Improvement: Analyzing usage patterns to improve features, fix bugs, and enhance user experience. We may use aggregated, de-identified data for this purpose.
  • Security: Detecting and preventing fraud, unauthorized access, and abuse of our platform.
  • Legal Compliance: Meeting our obligations under applicable laws, responding to lawful requests from government authorities, and enforcing our Terms of Service.
  • Marketing (with consent): Sending product updates, newsletters, or promotional content. You may opt out of marketing emails at any time via the unsubscribe link in each email or by contacting us directly.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties for their own marketing purposes.

3. Third-Party Services & Data Sharing

We work with trusted third-party services to operate our platform. We share only the minimum information necessary for each service to function.

  • Stripe, Inc. (Payment Processing): All payment transactions are processed by Stripe. When you provide payment details, that information is transmitted directly to Stripe's secure servers and is governed by Stripe's Privacy Policy. Vektron receives only non-sensitive payment metadata (last four digits, card type, expiration month/year, and transaction status).
  • Hosting & Infrastructure: Our platform is hosted on cloud infrastructure providers who process data on our behalf under data processing agreements. These providers are contractually bound to protect your data.
  • Email Service Providers: We use email service providers to send transactional and marketing emails. These providers process your email address and message content solely on our behalf.
  • Analytics: We may use analytics tools to understand aggregate usage patterns. Where possible, we configure these tools to anonymize or pseudonymize data.

We may also disclose your information when required by law, in response to a valid legal process, or when necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Vektron Technologies, our users, or the public.

In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, user information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you via email or a prominent notice on our website before your information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

4. Cookies & Tracking Technologies

We use cookies and similar tracking technologies on our website and platform. Cookies are small data files stored on your device that help us provide and improve our services.

We use the following types of cookies:

  • Essential Cookies: Required for core functionality such as authentication, session management, and security. These cannot be disabled without impairing your ability to use the platform.
  • Functional Cookies: Remember your preferences such as language selection, display settings, and account customizations.
  • Analytics Cookies: Help us understand how users navigate our site and platform, allowing us to identify and improve areas of poor performance.
  • Payment Cookies: Set by Stripe to enable secure payment processing and fraud prevention.

You can control cookie behavior through your browser settings. Disabling essential cookies may prevent certain features from working correctly. We honor browser-level "Do Not Track" signals where technically feasible.

5. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These measures include:

  • Encryption of data in transit using TLS/HTTPS
  • Encryption of sensitive data at rest
  • Password hashing using secure, modern algorithms (e.g., bcrypt)
  • Access controls limiting employee access to personal data on a need-to-know basis
  • Regular security reviews of our infrastructure and application code

No method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. While we take data protection seriously and apply reasonable safeguards, we cannot guarantee absolute security. In the event of a data breach that affects your personal information, we will notify you in accordance with applicable law.

6. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Specifically:

  • Account data is retained for the duration of your subscription plus a reasonable period thereafter.
  • Financial transaction records are retained for a minimum of seven (7) years as required for tax and accounting compliance.
  • Support communications are retained for up to three (3) years.
  • Log and analytics data is typically retained in identifiable form for up to twelve (12) months, after which it may be aggregated or de-identified.

When you request account deletion, we will delete or anonymize your personal information within a reasonable timeframe, subject to retention requirements for financial records and legal compliance.
